A New Build Series Inspired by Iconic TV & Movie Locations

Have you ever watched your favourite TV show and thought, “My Sims would totally live there”? Same! That’s why I’m starting a brand-new build series right here on Sweet Simmer Homes—and it’s all about recreating iconic fictional homes, hangouts, and hideouts from the world of TV and film.

From cozy apartments to famous coffee shops, this series will be an ongoing project where I bring some of the most beloved locations from the screen into The Sims 4—all with my own little design flair, of course.

So whether you’re a fan of fast-talking small-town charm, nerdy roommate banter, or a sofa with the best Central Perk view in NYC… get ready to see it all Sim-ified.

This series will grow over time as inspiration strikes (and when I can’t stop binge-watching old favorites). Each post will include:

• 🏠 The build recreated in The Sims 4
• 🎨 My design take (sometimes I keep it exact, sometimes I give it a twist!)

  Because nothing says “iconic sitcom” like purple walls and a mismatched couch set.

  Quaint, cozy, and full of flannel—and yes, there will be a backwards baseball cap involved.
• 💡 Leonard & Sheldon’s Apartment (The Big Bang Theory)
  Expect plenty of bookshelves, nerdy clutter, and a strict seating chart.
• 🏡 The McCallister House (Home Alone)
  Christmassy chaos meets upper-middle-class suburbia.
• 🧙‍♂️ Hobbiton-Inspired Cottage (The Lord of the Rings)
  Because why wouldn’t your Sims live in a hillside mushroom haven?

And so many more! If it’s memorable and full of vibes, it’s going on the list.
